Conference on international communication collaboration held in Changsha

A conference on promoting coordinated work for international communication was convened in the city of Changsha, central China's Hunan province, on Tuesday.

The event was held under the guidance of China International Communications Group (CICG) and the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Hunan Provincial Committee, and organized by the Academy of Contemporary China and World Studies under CICG, and the Publicity Department of the CPC Changsha Municipal Committee.

Du Zhanyuan, president of CICG, highlighted the significant progress made in improving coordinated work for international communication last year. He underscored the need for enhanced cooperation and collaboration to respond to the challenges and opportunities faced by international communication at present, and said that CICG will further enhance coordination with all related parties, take initiative in improving China's international communication capacity, and contribute to deepening exchange and mutual learning among civilizations.

In his speech, CICG Vice President Gao Anming pointed out that CICG will target crucial domains of international communication and refine cooperation mechanisms, establish exchange platforms, expand cooperation channels, and advance more productive cooperation projects.

During the conference, strategic cooperation agreements were signed between CICG and its affiliates and the Economic Daily, the Publicity Department of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, the Center for Language Education and Cooperation affiliated with the Chinese Ministry of Education, the National Museum of China, and other organizations.

Additionally, 10 outstanding practices for international communication were awarded at the event.

The event was attended by officials from central and local governments, and representatives from think tanks, universities, companies, as well as CICG subsidiaries.
