CICG delegation visits Yunnan for research on int'l communication work
A delegation from China International Communications Group (CICG) headed by Vice President Lu Cairong visited China's Yunnan province recently to conduct research on the province's work in translation of major Chinese works into less commonly taught languages and its international communication efforts.

The delegation visited Yunnan University in the provincial capital Kunming, as well as the Honghe Sub-center of the Yunnan International Communication Center for South and Southeast Asia, the Honghe Integrated Media Center, and the Honghe Area of China (Yunnan) Pilot Free Trade Zone.

The delegation members learned about international communication publications at border and port areas, and the situation of and difficulties in international communication of Honghe prefecture in South Asia and Southeast Asia. They also attended a symposium on international communication capacity building.
At the symposium, Lu said that CICG will continue strengthening the strategic partnership with the Publicity Department of the Yunnan Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China, facilitate Honghe prefecture's international communication efforts, jointly carry out high-quality content creation, increase talent exchange and joint training activities, and leverage the strengths of various platforms to carry out collaborations on communication.
He added that CICG will dig deep into the history and culture of Honghe prefecture, as part of its efforts to better tell the stories of Yunnan and make its voice better heard.
