Seminar on China-Arab strategic partnership held in Cairo

A seminar on China-Arab strategic partnership in the new era was held in Cairo, Egypt, on Wednesday. Gao Anming, vice president of China International Communications Group (CICG), gave a keynote speech via teleconferencing.

More than 50 participants from government agencies, universities, think tanks, and media outlets of China and Egypt, Bahrain, Tunisia, Lebanon, Jordan, Sudan, Yemen, and other member states of the Arab League attended the event organized by CICG.

Gao Anming said that cooperative relations between China and Arab states have developed fast in the new era. The two sides are jointly building a China-Arab community with a shared future, and exploring modernization paths with respective characteristics.

He said that China and Arab states should always be active players in safeguarding world peace and promoting fairness and justice, pursue high-quality Belt and Road cooperation on the basis of mutual benefit, carry out various forms of cultural and people-to-people exchanges to facilitate mutual learning among civilizations, enhance people-to-people bonds, and advance China-Arab strategic partnership.

Participants from Arab countries offered congratulations on the successful convening of the annual sessions of China's top legislature and top political advisory body. They also agreed that, in the new era, China and Arab states will become more solid partners in politics, economy, culture, and other fields and provide a new paradigm for developing countries to build sound relations.
