"It is our mission and responsibility to tell China's stories well and make China's voice heard globally, to build China's discourse and narrative systems, as well as to present a credible, lovable, and respectable image of China to the world," he said.
The book is the first English-language book published by China on the country's cinema history intended for foreign readers.
