Seeking case studies in international communication of traditional Chinese medicine culture

To better carry forward and develop traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) culture, and summarize experience in international communication of TCM culture, China Center for International Communication Development has joined hands with China Association of Chinese Medicine and the Center for International Cultural Communication under China International Communications Group to organize the event "Call for Case Studies in International Communication of Traditional Chinese Medicine Culture." The closing date for entries is Dec. 31, 2022. Both organizations and individuals are welcome to contribute your case studies. We look forward to your sharing. 


I. Our Purpose 

With the purpose of enhancing the influence of Chinese culture with better-told stories about TCM, the event is aimed to promote the application of TCM around the world, boost TCM brand building overseas, help TCM culture go global and contribute to the building of a global community of health for all.

Organizations and individuals dedicated to international communication of TCM 


IV. Requirements

Entries can be about overseas promotion and application of TCM, international cooperation and people-to-people exchanges centering on TCM, brand building for TCM culture overseas, innovation on narrative and discourse about TCM, channel building and content innovation for international communication of TCM, as well as cross-cultural management of TCM. Entries should elaborate on specific measures for promoting the international communication of TCM culture and corresponding results, and reflect new opportunities, trends and characteristics in the field. 

A proposal of 1,000 to 2,000 words and three to five photos should be submitted. Videos and other explanatory materials are encouraged. 


V. Release of Best Practices

The judging panel will review the entries and select Best Practices for International Communication of Traditional Chinese Medicine Culture and Top 10 Practices for International Communication of Traditional Chinese Medicine Culture. The selected cases will be released at the Second International Forum on Traditional Chinese Medicine Culture, during which a theme seminar and exhibition will be held. In the meantime, organizers of the event will build a platform for sharing the cases and promote them on their self-owned media platforms as well as other domestic and international media outlets.
