CICG holds meeting on Beijing-Singapore cultural, economic, trade cooperation

A meeting on Beijing-Singapore cultural, economic, and trade cooperation was held online Monday. 

In the meeting, government officials, leaders of economic and trade promotion organizations and business councils, entrepreneurs, as well as experts and scholars from Beijing and Singapore held exchanges on the successful practices of the two countries in this regard, and tapped cooperation potential through dialogue, policy introduction, and enterprise and project promotion.

Gao Anming, vice president of China International Communications Group (CICG), said via video link that the event aims to promote exchanges and cooperation between cultural industries of both sides, which is of great significance to boost the development of the China-Singapore All-Round Cooperative Partnership Progressing with the Times and jointly build an Asia-Pacific community with a shared future.

Gao suggested that cultural industrial resources should be pooled at a Beijing-Singapore exchange platform to make cultural industrial cooperation a hallmark of sound cooperation between the two countries. 

CICG is willing to work with all parties in China and Singapore to advance cooperation among enterprises of the two countries and the rest of the Asia-Pacific region, enhance connectivity between the cultural industries of the two sides, and contribute more wisdom and strength to the well-being of people of the two countries, Gao said.

The event was jointly hosted by the Center for Asia-Pacific under CICG and Beijing Association for Trade in Services.
