Yu Tao, vice president of China International Communications Group (CICG), said during the webinar that both China and the U.S. stand to gain from cooperation and lose from confrontation, and should effectively manage differences and carry out mutually beneficial cooperation.

Yu called for more efforts on three fronts: implementing the consensus reached by the two heads of state and effectively intensifying exchanges and cooperation, expanding China-U.S. cooperation with an international vision, and pushing forward cultural and people-to-people exchange and strengthening China-U.S. media and think tank cooperation.

He said CICG and its Center for the Americas — a media complex covering the Americas under CICG and the webinar's organizer — stand ready to contribute more to China-U.S. cultural and people-to-people exchange as well as media and think tank cooperation.
