CICG holds International Communication Forum on Chinese Culture

The International Communication Forum on Chinese Culture was held in Beijing on Thursday, with discussions centering on promoting Chinese culture and international cultural exchange. Nearly 100 domestic and foreign guests attended the forum.

Addressing the forum, Du Zhanyuan, president of China International Communications Group (CICG), said that Chinese civilization is renowned for its openness and inclusiveness. It has thrived through exchange and mutual learning, and also set an example of equality, inclusiveness as well as active participation in mutual learning and dialogues. He said the Chinese path to modernization has created a miracle of rapid economic development and long-term social stability, provided a new route to modernization for developing countries, and contributed Chinese wisdom to global sustainable development and global governance.

The forum included four parallel sessions on mutual learning and international exchange, the digitalization of culture and international communication, multinational enterprises and the communication of Chinese culture, and young Sinology scholars and the communication of Chinese culture.

The forum was jointly hosted by the Center for International Cultural Communication under CICG, the Academy of International Communication of Chinese Culture of Beijing Foreign Studies University, and the Research Center of Chinese Culture under the Academy of Chinese Culture.
