Beijing-Tokyo cultural industry matchmaking meeting held in Beijing

The event was themed on the successful practice and future prospect of trade in culture between China and Japan, as this year marks the 50th anniversary of the normalization of China-Japan diplomatic relations. 

The meeting brought together high-level officials in international communication, leaders of business chambers and associations, entrepreneurs, as well as media representatives to discuss ways of deepening industrial exchange and cooperation between the two countries.

Gao Anming, vice president of China International Communications Group (CICG), attended the event via video link. He spoke highly of the event for its role in promoting cultural trade and exchange between the two sides, and called for new ways for exchanges between China and Japan, and for increasing interactions between the youths of the two countries.

Gao vowed that CICG will work with its industrial peers in facilitating business cooperation and aligning the cultural industry of the two sides, and that the group will keep working to increase the wellbeing of people in China and Japan.

At the event, the National Base for International Cultural Trade (Beijing) signed an agreement with the Joint Laboratory of Digital Cultural Trade, and a service platform for digital cultural trade between China and Japan was unveiled.

Co-organized by the State-owned Cultural Assets Administration Center of Beijing Municipality and the Center for Asia-Pacific under CICG, the event was part of the "Connecting the World, Experiencing Beijing" series that focuses on policy introduction, project promotion, and business networking in the cultural industry.
