Yu Tao, vice president of China International Communications Group (CICG), noted in his speech that this year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Argentina. He called on the two countries to advance cooperation on technological innovations and green development, and together push forward the high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative. Efforts to practice true multilateralism and fully implement the Global Development Initiative will inject new impetus into the all-around cooperation between the two sides, Yu said.

A report on the Global Development Initiative and a report on the academic exchange and cooperation between China and Argentina were released at the event.

The event was co-organized by the Academy of Contemporary China and World Studies under CICG, the School of Social Sciences of the University of Buenos Aires, and the Center for Argentina Studies of the Institute of Latin American Studies under the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.
