CICG signs cooperation agreement to tell China's stories in maritime sector

China International Communications Group (CICG) and the China Oceanic Development Foundation (CODF) signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Beijing on Tuesday, vowing to leverage their respective advantages to better tell China's stories in the maritime sector.

At the signing ceremony, Du Zhanyuan, president of CICG, introduced CICG's work in international communication in recent years. He said that CICG is equipped with plentiful international communication channels and resources, and will work closer with CODF on publishing and international communication.

CICG and CODF are currently co-organizing the ocean-themed "Tell China's Stories" contest. Lyu Bin, president of CODF, called on the two organizations to further expand channels of cooperation, in order to better present China to the rest of the world and raise its voice on the global stage.

According to the agreement, the two sides will strengthen their partnership in international communication, publishing, international conferences, training, and research, among other fields. The two organizations will pool their respective resources to better tell China's stories in the maritime sector, and contribute more to promoting international communication and building a strong maritime country in the new era.
