Fifth Forum on China, LAC held in E. China
The Fifth Forum on China and LAC: Dialogues between Civilizations was held both online and offline in Nanjing, Jiangsu province, from Sept. 1 to 2.

The event brought together more than 200 representatives from governments, international organizations, research institutes, media outlets, and the business circle to build partnerships between China and Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC).
During his address at the forum, Yu Tao, vice president of China International Communications Group (CICG), said civilizations of China and LAC have grown and thrived while remaining open and inclusive.

He called on China and LAC countries, both from the developing world, to broaden the prospect of their communication, learn from each other’s best practices in state governance, explore development paths that meet their own conditions, build high-quality partnerships, and contribute to world peace and security.
CICG has been dedicated to dialogue between China and LAC civilizations, maintaining close ties with the media, think tanks, and publishers in the LAC region, Yu said.
Co-hosted by CICG subsidiaries including the Academy of Contemporary China and World Studies, Blossom Press, and the Center for the Americas, the forum is now in its fifth year and has become one of the most influential platforms for China-LAC dialogue.
As a flagship event for China-LAC dialogue, the forum will continue to serve as a bridge for cross-cultural communication and contribute to the building of a China-LAC community with a shared future, Yu said.
