CICG-Yale University Press

CICG, May 12, 2022

Since the 1990s, CICG has been vigorously promoting international publishing cooperation. Its seven-volume series of books titled "Culture and Civilization of China" published in conjunction with the Yale University Press represents the biggest publishing cooperation program between China and the United States. The works have won some of the highest national publishing awards in both countries, gaining great attention and popularity in American cultural and academic circles.

Among the seven volumes, "Chinese Architecture" won the 14th National Book Award of China; "Three Thousand Years of Chinese Painting" won the R. R. Hawkins Award of the Association of American Publishers; "Ancient Chinese Sculpture" was selected by the Association of American University Presses (renamed Association of University Presses in 2012) as one of its best books of 2006; and "The Art of Chinese Calligraphy" won the Association of American Publishers Award for Excellence in Humanities.
